In Ottawa river, there are numerous boats or cruise tours for sightseeing. Usually, the trip is about 1.5 up to 2 hours, depends on where the boat's tour starts.
You can find the booth that sells the ticket for this River's boat tour in Downtown Ottawa. Usually, the booths are nearby Rideau Canal, in front of National Arts Center Building. It;s better to take the boat tour in Spring or Summer where the weather is nice and the water is calm. However, beginning of Spring, Ottawa will have more rain than usual. While in Fall/Autumn, the wind is quite strong and unpleasant.

Mostly, the boat engine are using electricity and make the trip pleasant without water currant.
