Pink Lake is one of a beautiful point when visiting Gatineau Park in Quebec Province. Gatineau Park is a west part of Quebec Province. This 361 square kilometres' Park is located on the north side of the Ottawa River and opposite Canada's capital, Ottawa. The best time to visit this Gatineau Park, beautiful nature is in Fall, when the leaves are yellowish, bringing romantic mood. Very suitable for family or wedding/prewed pictures.
Pink Lake Gatineau Park
You can park your car in the parking spots for lookout points, or even cycling along Gatineau Park. Gatineau Park is quite wide and the road will be uphill and downhill. Just put your high alert when cycling along the road. Another alternatives, for those who like hiking and walking, there are a lot of beautiful trails in Gatineau Park with awesome scenery and fresh air.
For this Pink Lake, there are some trails if you walk down the lake, too. The trail is about 3 kms with many beautiful points that you want to shoot with Camera. So, don't forget to bring your camera. Moreover, there are some written information like placards explaining about Pink Lake and other spots. If you want to walk along the trail, just be prepared with mosquito repellent. There are some "forest" plant like Poison Ivy and other shrubs too.
According to the placard, they call it Pink Lake because of two layers of water in the lake, that makes it look like "Turquoise" instead of Pink. Besides Pink Lake, there are many lookout points in Gatineau Park, Quebec Province.
